I recently came across a quote on Pinterest stating, “Where Focus Goes, Energy Follows.” And after reading that the first words that came to my mind were, “Seriously.” I think it was a great self-reflection moment, “Am I putting my focus in the right areas?!”

We all know that in life we tend to put our energy into things that sometimes allow us to take our focus off the things that really need our attention.

For most of us, in one area or another, we strive to have some type of success in life. (if not, we should!) When we look at celebrities like Beyonce, we question our own work ethic, and wonder am I working hard enough? what have I been doing all my life?!

Know that not everyone will reach the same level of success as Beyonce, and you shouldn’t strive for that either.

By focusing on only a few goals at a time. Pick those goals that are truly yours and your hearts deepest desire. Then focus all your efforts like a laser beam upon their completion. Take the top ten and zero in on those three to five goals that mean the most to you. The three to five goals that you know you have the deepest desire to achieve.

A goal without a plan is just a wish. I love writing down all of my plans down in a planner, sticky notes, and the notes app in my phone! I legit have notes everywhere!

Surround yourself with those that will not only encourage your accomplishments but challenge you towards them as well. None of us will accomplish any big goal alone. You are going to need assistance from others.

Remember why you started and don’t stop. It can get so easy to quit when you don’t see the results of your actions instantly. You can’t get a degree in a day. It will never happen. All truly successful people know that great things take time and LOTS of work.
